Randall Bass Amp
Randall Bass Amp

How the heck should I be using this amp?
I have a Randall RX30D amp. Every review I've ever read about this amp says it rocks.
I'v had it for a year and it always rattles and I never have the patience to figure out the right settings for instruments.
I usually use a violin with this amp, and it seems if I turn the treble down and bass up it sounds good, but no matter what I do the high notes are incredibly squeaky. No, it's not my violin, which is very high end.
What settings on it would be good for a violin? guitar?
And how about bass guitar? Could it work?
I own a nice Ovation Acoustic-Electric.
Please help, I paid a moderate to expensive sum for this amp and I don't want to buy another and sell it until I have some real opinions.
I think the big problem is that this amp is intended for electric guitar.
If you are playing acoustic instruments through it then it probably will never sound quite right.
I can only suggest trading it in for an acoustic amp like this one that I own:
