Gibson Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar Ebony

Gibson Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar Ebony

$2189

The Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Electric Guitar earns its name thanks to the traditional features you expect in a Les Paul guitar: mahogany body, set neck with rounded '50s profile, maple top, and a pair of Gibson's '57 Classic humbucker pickups. One significant, yet not-so-traditional improvement: the neck is analyzed by Gibson's Plek machine. Using computer precision Gibson Plek files the frets and cuts slots in the nut to an accuracy of a hundredth of a millimeter for optimal action and intonation without string buzzing.

Gibson Buckethead Signature Les Paul Electric Guitar

Gibson Buckethead Signature Les Paul Electric Guitar

$2587

From his prolific solo work, to his prominent membership in the supergroup Praxis and rock legends Guns N' Roses, Buckethead embodies one of the most fiery, creative personas of our times, and has continually affirmed his stance in the upper echelon of contemporary shredders. Equally attention-grabbing as his incendiary chops, Buckethead's stage show and visual presence remain unique among the rock field, and his Gibson guitars—a white Les Paul in particular—have always been a big part of that. The Gibson Buckethead Signature Les Paul celebrates this unparalleled artist's achievements. With an oversized, chambered Les Paul body, a marker-less ebony fingerboard, and Buckethead's choice of Gibson's contemporary ceramic humbucking pickups—complete with modified electronics and "arcade" style kill switches—this is a Les Paul guitar like no other. It's primed to get you noticed, and designed for utmost performance for the contemporary rock, metal, and shred performer.Body Each Buckethead Signature Les Paul is crafted from a 2-piece maple top attached with ultra-strong Franklin Titebond 50 glue to a chambered mahogany body. This wood combination, one of the most acclaimed pairings in the history of the solid and semi-solid electric guitar, yields a "best of both worlds" tonal splendor. With the great clarity, definition and treble bite from the maple, and excellent depth and richness from the mahogany, elements found in the classic Les Paul Standard tone. The chambering adds a further dimension, increasing the complexity of this guitar's tone, while also increasing its acoustic volume and sustain.Reflecting Buckethead's continued departure from the norm, the Buckethead Signature Les Paul looks outwardly much like a slightly modified white Les Paul Standard, but had been made with an oversized, chambered body. The chambered mahogany back serves to minimize weight, while also adding tonal nuances to the guitar's overall sound. The Gibson Buckethead Signature Les Paul is finished in high-gloss Alpine White which is complemented with a stunning black and white 5-ply binding. These give this unique electric guitar a sleek, contemporary appearance and a smooth, fast playing feel. Neck The neck of the Gibson Buckethead signature guitar is constructed from a single piece of solid mahogany, and glued to the body at a 4-degree angle (pitch). Mahogany is a traditional neck wood that is prized for its combination of lightness and strength. Buckethead's Signature Les Paul neck is carved to its own custom profile that runs from .870" at the nut to .955" at the 12th fret, and is designed for the ultimate combination of speed and comfort. The Buckethead Signature Les Paul features a 27" scale length which increases neck tension for improved accuracy and precision and allows for the lower tunings used in modern rock music. Fingerboard The Buckethead Signature Les Pau

Gibson 2009 Les Paul Tribute Electric Guitar Gold Top

Gibson 2009 Les Paul Tribute Electric Guitar Gold Top

$3348

The passing of the incomparable Gibson Les Paul in August 2009 broke the hearts of guitar enthusiasts around the world. What can never be broken, though, is the legacy of innovation and creativity that he built during 94 years of constant musicianship. Though the original guitar he designed in 1952 has informed every Gibson guitar since, our engineers were inspired anew to handcraft a guitar just the way Les demanded it nearly 60 years ago. Never before has a Gibson Les Paul guitar been so completely designed to Les' original specifications—until now. Anchored by a golden mahogany body, maple top and rosewood fingerboard, the Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 guitar is equipped with an all-new bridge that's an exact replica of Les' original 1952 patent. Gibson luthiers have also added historical interest with details like stamping "prototype" into the back of the peg head and staying true to Les' preference for P-90 pickups. Body Each Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 guitar is topped with a two-piece maple top that fits snugly onto a two-piece mahogany body. The maple top is Grade C and its mahogany body is Grade A. This wood combination yields not only a gorgeous exterior but also a specific yet versatile tone that many guitarists have come to demand. The mahogany body of the Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 cranks out tone that is somewhat soft, but extremely well-balanced, with good grind and bite. It has the potential for good depth, with full (though not super-tight) lows, velvety highs and a slightly compressed response. Its maple cap adds snap, sizzle and sustain. The electric guitar's resonance also benefits from not having any bridge or stopbar holes. The gleaming gold finish of the Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 guitar is complemented with stunning antique binding, done painstakingly by hand in Gibson's Nashville, TN shop.Finish The top of the Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 guitar comes in a classically beautiful Gold finish, just as Les's first Les Paul guitars did. The rim, back and neck showcase the beautiful grain patterns of Grade A mahogany and are treated to many coats of high-gloss lacquer. This lacquer accentuates the beautiful wood grain patterns of the mahogany body and protects its maple top. The 90-sheen lacquer finish gives the guitar a sleek surface that's smooth to the touch. Unlike many other manufacturers who settle for a polyurethane finish, Gibson opts for a nitrocellulose finish that will encourage the natural vibration of the Les Paul guitar for a purer tone. In addition, a nitro finish is very porous and actually gets thinner over time. That way your electric guitar's wood can breathe and age beautifully.Neck and Headstock This Les Paul is fitted with Gibson's classic '50s neck profile, which is a thicker, rounder profile than the necks that followed in the '60s. The neck is constructed from a solid piece of Grade-A mahogany, the hands-down best choice for guitarists

Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Pro Electric Guitar Ebony

Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Pro Electric Guitar Ebony

$1899.99

Taking design and visual cues from the Les Pauls of the '80s and '90s, the Les Paul Traditional Pro features BurstBucker 3 and '57 Classic pickups with coil-splitting, '60s neck profile, Grover locking tuners, antique binding, period-correct pickguard, vintage Gibson top hat knobs, and the revolutionary Plek set up.With all the fat, sweet, snarling Les Paul tone that purists love, the new Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Pro sports a non-chambered mahogany body with a thick maple cap for the perfect blend of warmth and clarity. The top is finished in high-gloss lacquer, while the back, sides, and neck have a smooth satin finish that feels great and lets the wood resonate fully. Each Les Paul Traditional also comes with Gibson USA's standard black snakeskin case.Period-Correct Pickguard The creme-colored pickguard has been a Les Paul staple dating back to the models of the late 1950s and the early 1960s. Many players, however, removed the pickguard from their Les Pauls to show off the beauty of the flame maple tops, prompting Gibson to stop installing the pickguard altogether. During the 1980s and 1990s, Gibson began reinstalling the pickguard in the factory, and the Les Pauls from this era once again arrived in stores bearing the classic, creme-colored pickguard. The Les Paul Traditional comes equipped with a period-correct pickguard, designed to protect the maple top.Pickups: Neck - '57 Classic; Bridge - BurstBucker 3 Among the qualities that make Gibson's original "Patent Applied For" humbucking pickups so unique are the subtle variations between coil windings. For the first few years of their productions—1955 to 1961—Gibson's PAF humbuckers were wound using imprecise machines, resulting in pickups with slightly different output and tone. The BurstBucker 3 and '57 Classic Plus pickups are the result of Gibson's drive to capture and recreate this characteristic. Introduced in 1992, the '57 Classic provides warm, full tone with a balanced response, packing that classic Gibson PAF humbucker crunch, inspired by those original PAFs that received a few extra turns of wire. Both are made by Gibson to the exact same specs as the original PAFs, including Alnico II magnets, nickel-plated pole pieces, nickel slugs, maple spacers, and vintage-style, 2-conductor braided wiring. Gibson added poly-coated wiring, which improves consistency by eliminating thick or thin spots on the wiring, and wax potting, which removes all internal air space and any chance of microphonic feedback. Both pickups offer coil-splitting for single-coil sounds via push/pull switching in the volume controls.Revolutionary Plek Set Up The Les Paul Traditional is the first model from Gibson USA to utilize the revolutionary Plek machine in setting up the guitar. The Plek is a German-made, computer-controlled machine that carefully measures each fret, along with the fingerboard height under each string, and then automati
