I'm not into Epis much, but that particular iceman isnt for me either - but I do appreciate you wanting to play something cool that looks different, and that's why they make them.
Between the GIBSON firebird, explorer, and a vintage Iceman, I'd have to go with the explorer. Best playing of the three. Other than that, it's all personal taste. I've played all three, having worked at GC in the past, and honestly, never sold any of them because they are never made right. If you find one that is, buy it!
