Gibson Custom Firebird Non-Reverse with 3 Mini Humbuckers TV White Gold Hardware

$1999

The original Gibson "Non-reverse" Firebirds were produced from 1966—1969 and featured a headstock with banjo styled tuners on the bass side, and a body having the bass side horn slightly longer than the treble side horn. The Gibson Firebird Non-Reverse has a 24½" scale body made of solid mahogany and a 1-piece mahogany neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Other amenities include dot inlays, gold hardware, and an ABR-1 fixed bridge and stop tailpiece. This model has electronics similar in style to the Firebird VII (originally introduced in 1963), and is fitted with 3 Gibson mini-humbucking pickups, which produce a clearer, brighter tone that sits between the sound of single coil pickups and full-sized humbuckers in the tonal spectrum. It also has a standard glued-in ("set") neck with a long tenon joint, rather than the original neck-through construction used in original reversed Firebirds.

Gibson Custom ES-359 Electric Guitar Pelham Blue

$3582

The Gibson Custom ES-359 is a semi-hollow electric guitar that adds gold hardware, Grover tuners, and an ebony fingerboard with large mother-of-pearl block inlays to one of the most exciting guitars in decades: the Gibson ES-339. The ES-359 electric guitar is part of the next generation of guitars from the Custom Shop of Gibson's iconic ES electric guitars. The Gibson ES-359 delivers bold semi-hollow tone that is rich with expressive, even stinging overtones in a guitar that has reduced dimensions and weight. The Gibson ES-359 guitar also has some exciting enhancements including Memphis Tone control wiring, the 30/60 slender neck profile, and gold hardware.Memphis Tone electronics Memphis Tone circuitry uses 500K audio taper pots that operate with an interactive load that preserves high end as you turn down the volume. The loading effect preserves the full-bodied tone with rich midrange and singing sustain from the '57 Classic humbucker pickups while adding a very sweet bite. Another difference: the Gibson ES-359 guitar's volume is very smooth, rolling off in even increments along with the numbers on the knobs. Since they operate more like how we hear (logarithmically), the controls work the way you think they should. So when you turn down the volume, the highs are still there.30/60 Neck Developed with assistance from guitar guru Jon Schwartz, the Gibson ES-359 guitar's 30/60 slender neck is a '60s style neck with an extra .030" front-to-back to preserve the semi-hollow body tone, sustain, and feel while providing smooth playability.Reduced dimensions and weight The Gibson ES-359 electric guitar builds on the success of the semi-hollowbody guitars first introduced by Gibson in 1958 with the ES-335. Lighter and more compact than a traditional semi-hollow guitar, the Gibson ES-359 guitar retains the distinct semi-hollowbody electric tone that powered so many hit records and landmark performances.Outer rim output jack The Gibson ES-359 guitar's output jack is mounted on the outer rim. No more cable crossing the body spoiling your guitar's clean looks and getting in your way.Two '57 Classic Humbuckers, with 3-way pickup selection plus individual volume and tone controls, provide the incredibly versatile sounds that make the semi-hollow electric famous for its use in jazz, rock, blues, and country. Quality Kluson tuners keep retuning time to a minimum, and gold hardware enhances the great looks. The Gibson Custom ES-359 electric guitar comes with a Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity.

Gibson Custom Gibson Byrdland Guitar Natural Gold Hardware

Gibson Custom Gibson Byrdland Guitar Natural Gold Hardware

$8799

The Gibson Byrdland Electric Guitar represented a handful of developments that were radical, even revolutionary, in its dayHistory Many working musicians of the fast-paced and musically adventurous '50s required a new instrument—one that captured traditional Gibson archtop artistry and craftsmanship, but represented a redrawing of the blueprint for the needs of the day. Enter the Byrdland, released in 1955 after consultation with first-call Nashville session musicians Billy Byrd and Hank Garland. Outwardly every bit a Gibson, this model represented a handful of developments that were radical, even revolutionary, in its day. The Byrdland retained the traditional carved solid-spruce arched top and wide dimensions (17") of big-bodied jazzers like its predecessor the L-5CES, but was considerably thinner, at only 2 1/4" deep. The electric guitar was here to stay, and Gibson's designers quite rightly determined that a guitar that was intended primarily as an electric—rather than acoustic—instrument should be made in a way that would minimize feedback. Gibson created the Thinline series, which included the Byrdland partnered by the ES-350T, released the same year. Together they constituted the first of the new thin-bodied breed, and launched a design trend for archtop electrics that would proliferate to this day. So successful was its design ethos, that it not only offered a popular alternative for jazz, pop, and country players, it also proved capable of cranking out heavy rock in the hands of guitarists such as Ted Nugent.Body At the request of Billy Byrd and Hank Garland, the Byrdland was made with a reduced scale length, but featured all the finery of a top-of-the-line Gibson archtop guitar. The Byrdland's super-thin neck and 23 1/2" scale length might have implied a "student model" instrument, but it was intended purely for speed and playing ease, and its five-ply binding, ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlay, gold-plated hardware, and triple-loop Byrdland trapeze tailpiece all single it out as a top-shelf guitar.Hardware By now, the Byrdland had also acquired an upgrade in electronics, too. Originally offered in 1955 with Alnico V single coil pickups, it was made with PAF humbucking pickups from 1957 onward. Coupled to the traditional independent volume and tone controls and a three-way selector switch, these units gave the Byrdland the ability to produce anything from a smooth mellow purr to a hot, cutting twang.Near-perfect Recreation In keeping with the desires of many players, the Gibson Custom Shop offers the finest original-spec rendition of this classic model that has been available since its production of the early 1960s. From the select maple and walnut used in its neck to the high-grade spruce of its top, no expense is spared in making this Thinline electric a guitar that Hank Garland and Billy Byrd would be proud of. Details such as the pearl flower-pot headstock inlay, multi-pl

Gibson Custom 1955 Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Ebony

Gibson Custom 1955 Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Ebony

$4799

The Alnico V pickup found in the neck position on the Gibson Custom 1955 Les Paul Custom electric guitar was designed in 1952 by Seth Lover and Walt Fuller for Gibson to succeed the P-90 single-coil pickup on several of Gibson's distinguished archtop jazz hollowbodies, most famously the L5 CES, ES-5, and Byrdland guitars. Similar to the P-90 in appearance, the Alnico V is easily recognized by its distinctive rectangular pole pieces. The guitar pickup gets its name from the stronger Alnico V magnets, while each coil has 10,000 turns of 42-gauge wire to achieve its clear, round, ringing sound. It made its debut on a solidbody Gibson in the Fretless Wonder of 1954, the Les Paul Custom, or Black Beauty. P-90 single-coil pickup The bridge position is equipped with a screaming single-coil P-90 pickup. The P-90 was the standard pickup on all Gibson models in the late 1940s and into the 1950s and because of its crisp, bright tone it has experienced resurgence in popularity with many of today's modern rockers. This classic Gibson pickup delivers sizzling, slightly gritty midrange roar. You'll find that the P-90's high output and biting treble has more nuanced harmonic coloring than the typical Fender single-coil pickup.ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic Bridge and Stopbar Tailpiece The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge was the brainchild of famed Gibson president Ted McCarty in 1954, setting a standard for simplicity and functionality that has never been bettered. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic is slotted directly into the body of the Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar using a separate stud and thumbwheel, providing a firm seating for the strings and allowing players the ability to adjust and fine tune intonation and string height in a matter of minutes. And held in place with TonePros long steel anchors and long locking studs, the stopbar tailpiece yields a great union between the strings and body, which results in excellent vintage tone and sustain. Soft Shoulder '55 Neck Profile The Soft Shoulder '55 neck profile makes the Gibson Custom Les Paul Custom sit in your hand like no other guitar neck. Gibson's guitar team chose a '55 Les Paul that had a neck with a "magical feel" to serve as a model for the Soft Shoulder '55 neck. The depth is the same from the top of the fretboard to the back of the neck as the rounded '50s neck, yet has gently sloping sides that sit comfortably in your hand. Year of 1955 Innovation 1955 was a year of great innovation in all areas of American life. 1955 saw the dawn of the United States space program. The first of the classic V8 Chevrolets hit dealerships all over the country, reflecting the spirit of change that was in the air. And don't forget the birth of Rock and Roll! Jukeboxes were blasting music by Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, a kid named Elvis, and his guitar player Scotty Moore. Something was afoot. The archetypical tones of this music had already been forged in the Legendary Gibson Guitar Factory. The
