Gibson Les Paul Bass Guitars
Gibson Les Paul Bass Guitars

Gibson robot Les Paul guitar?
Hey, you know how there is a gibson robot les paul guitar? And it tunes itself and makes applying new strings easier?
Will Gibson or some other company like Fender, ever make a robot bass guitar? That tunes itself and stuff like that? Is there any news from any companies about this? Because i play bass and it would be awesome to have a self tuning bass.
Maybe a Fender robot P- Bass?
hey, how would i email them? can you tell me a good website?
dude your awesome, i'll send them an email about it hopefully they put it threw
That's a very good question, and it would be awesome to see.
I can pretty much guarantee you that Fender will not be making anything like that because Gibson surely patented the Robot to death. Which I hate to say because I love Fender basses as well. However, Gibson could very well make something like that for bass. And since Epiphone tends to crank out more successful basses than Gibson, the guys up at Gibson may send the idea to Epiphone.
I would e-mail Epiphone and Gibson both and ask about this. It's really a great idea, and I wouldn't doubt that someone might pass it on to the designers.
EDIT:
I just checked their websites, and Gibson and Epiphone both share an e-mail. I would just be sure to make it clear that you are asking both companies. They can be reached at service@gibson.com. Hope that helps.

Gibson Custom 1959 Les Paul Reissue Electric Guitar Faded Lemonburst $5999 The 50th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Sunburst Reissue Faded Lemonburst has the appearance of a 1959 Les Paul that has spent the last 50 years in a display case in a museum. While the electric guitar retains the high gloss finish of a new instrument, the color has faded to the warm glow of the Faded Lemonburst finish. There will only be 25 of these Gibson Les Paul guitars offered worldwide. All of the '59 "Sunburst" specs are faithfully reproduced including the nitrocellulose finish, wireless ABR-1 bridge, bumblebee capacitors, CTS pots, and the correct materials and shape of the bridge posts and thumbwheels, truss rod cover, strap button, and pickguard.Where did Faded Lemonburst come from? In 1959, the Gibson Les Paul was offered in two standard colors: a cherry sunburst and a darkburst. Most Les Paul guitars were finished in a cherry sunburst. Others received a darker burst to conceal mineral streaks, worm tracks, or flecks in the maple top. Over the years, the red dye in the cherryburst Les Pauls faded to different degrees due to exposure to sunlight, temperature, humidity and other factors. Each relative color difference has been affectionately named by Les Paul aficionados. One of the most desirable of these variances is "The Faded Lemonburst." |

Gibson 2009 Les Paul Tribute Electric Guitar Gold Top $3348 The passing of the incomparable Gibson Les Paul in August 2009 broke the hearts of guitar enthusiasts around the world. What can never be broken, though, is the legacy of innovation and creativity that he built during 94 years of constant musicianship. Though the original guitar he designed in 1952 has informed every Gibson guitar since, our engineers were inspired anew to handcraft a guitar just the way Les demanded it nearly 60 years ago. Never before has a Gibson Les Paul guitar been so completely designed to Les' original specifications—until now. Anchored by a golden mahogany body, maple top and rosewood fingerboard, the Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 guitar is equipped with an all-new bridge that's an exact replica of Les' original 1952 patent. Gibson luthiers have also added historical interest with details like stamping "prototype" into the back of the peg head and staying true to Les' preference for P-90 pickups. Body Each Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 guitar is topped with a two-piece maple top that fits snugly onto a two-piece mahogany body. The maple top is Grade C and its mahogany body is Grade A. This wood combination yields not only a gorgeous exterior but also a specific yet versatile tone that many guitarists have come to demand. The mahogany body of the Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 cranks out tone that is somewhat soft, but extremely well-balanced, with good grind and bite. It has the potential for good depth, with full (though not super-tight) lows, velvety highs and a slightly compressed response. Its maple cap adds snap, sizzle and sustain. The electric guitar's resonance also benefits from not having any bridge or stopbar holes. The gleaming gold finish of the Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 guitar is complemented with stunning antique binding, done painstakingly by hand in Gibson's Nashville, TN shop.Finish The top of the Gibson Les Paul Tribute 1952 guitar comes in a classically beautiful Gold finish, just as Les's first Les Paul guitars did. The rim, back and neck showcase the beautiful grain patterns of Grade A mahogany and are treated to many coats of high-gloss lacquer. This lacquer accentuates the beautiful wood grain patterns of the mahogany body and protects its maple top. The 90-sheen lacquer finish gives the guitar a sleek surface that's smooth to the touch. Unlike many other manufacturers who settle for a polyurethane finish, Gibson opts for a nitrocellulose finish that will encourage the natural vibration of the Les Paul guitar for a purer tone. In addition, a nitro finish is very porous and actually gets thinner over time. That way your electric guitar's wood can breathe and age beautifully.Neck and Headstock This Les Paul is fitted with Gibson's classic '50s neck profile, which is a thicker, rounder profile than the necks that followed in the '60s. The neck is constructed from a solid piece of Grade-A mahogany, the hands-down best choice for guitarists |

The studio guitar is coveted by musicians from all genres of music and offers Les Paul performance with a modern, no-frills attitude. This Silverburst edition is lighter weight and offers a distinct look and modern features. The Les Paul Studio guitar marries a lightweight chambered mahogany back to a maple top. The mahogany set neck has a 22-fret fingerboard that is constructed from high-grade ebony. The resilience of this dense and durable wood makes the fingerboard extremely balanced and stable, and gives each chord and note unparalleled clarity and bite. The flatter 12" fingerboard radius promotes smooth note bending and eliminates dead or choked out notes—a common occurrence on rounder, smaller radius fingerboards. The Les Paul Studio guitar's '60s neck profile is slim tapered emulating the neck shapes of the 1960 Les Paul Standard. The Les Paul Studio Guitar shares the same quality electronics as some of its more expensive siblings. The Gibson 490R pickup has the tonal characteristics of an original PAF, but with a slight increase in upper mid-range response. The Gibson 498T bridge pickup is the 490 pickup's ideal complement. Taking the 490 one step further, the 498 swaps the Alnico II magnet with an Alnico V, thus making it a slightly hotter pickup with emphasis on mid-ranges and highs. The pole pieces on the 498T are also aligned a little further apart to accommodate the spacing of the strings at the bridge. Both pickups can be split via push/pull volume controls. |

Gibson Custom 1954 Chambered Les Paul Goldtop VOS Antique Gold $3899 Like all VOS (Vintage Original Spec) series instruments, the 1954 Chambered Les Paul Goldtop VOS guitar is handcrafted for comfort and playability in the Gibson Custom Shop. The construction, neck profile, hardware, and electronics are period accurate, and a special nitro-cellulose finish treatment gives it the patina of a gently-aged vintage guitar. The body isn't chambered just for weight relief, although your back and shoulder will definitely appreciate it. Gibson uses a computer numeric controlled router to carve out carefully mapped areas that result in louder, more resonant guitars with increased sustain. The chambering is done before the maple top is put on, so there is no change in the guitar's rock solid appearance.Includes Gibson Custom Shop case, a certificate of authenticity, and custom care kit. |
