Gibson Guitar Amp
Which amp for a gibson les paul?

I am really loving the sound of Gibson Les Paul guitars and was planning on saving up a few thousand to get one, the amp i have is a marshall mg10 (which is 40 watts). In order to get that great blues sound the les paul's give out would i need a better amp?

well after spending all that money on a les paul I imagine you can afford any amp you want. Just try out amps till you find one you like. If you are trying to save money and get a great sounding amp...try looking for one of the recently discontinued crate v32 palomino amps. They sound wonderful.

Gibson GA42RVT 30W 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp Brown

Gibson GA42RVT 30W 2x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp Brown

$899

The Gibson GA42RVT combo amp surpasses many dedicated acoustic tube amps on the market. Hand-wired, this guitar amp features a 30W pentode/triode Class A, 12" speaker, with 2 channels and a "Mix" input. Part of the hand-built range, the Limited Edition GA40RVT delivers exceptional tone within a meaningful compliment of boutique features. The tube-driven reverb gives a deep, full tone that comes through with full clarity, offering ideal tones for indie and alternative rock sounds. The tremolo pulses through your body, giving depth to your tone. Two-tone vintage brown and cream Tolex adds that classic vintage look and feel. Thanks to Gibson's impeccable craftsmanship, this tube amp is primed for acoustic or electric, whether in your studio or on the stage. Input 1: Accesses the first channel of your Gibson amplifier. This is the more aggressive channel that provides less headroom before overdrive. This channel offers Treble and Bass Controls.Input 2: Accesses the second channel of your amplifier. This is the cleaner channel that provides a rich clean tone, breaking into subtle overdrive later, as you increase the channel's volume.Mix Input: Unique to the Handbuilt Series, the Mix input allows you to combine the signals of both channels 1 & 2. This is useful for creating a wide range of tonality, mixing clean and overdrive or adding reverb to the overdriven tone of Channel 1.Reverb: Your amplifier's spring reverb unit is "live" on Channel 2, but can affect Channel 1 via the Mix input. The Handbuilt Series features Tube-Driven Reverb for a more natural, smoother reverb effect. A clockwise turn increases the reverb "tail;" a counter clockwise turn decreases the reverb tail. At 7 o'clock, the Reverb effect is off.Tremolo: Creates an intermittent signal effect (think surf music) with variable Speed and Depth Controls.Speed: Determines the rate at which the signal fluctuates in volume.Depth: Determines the subtly or severity of the signal fluctuation.On/Off: Turns your amplifier on or off. We recommend that you have your "Play/Standby" switch in the "Standby" position when powering up. This helps preserve tube life.Play/Standby: Allows you to idle your guitar amplifier in "Standby" mode (no signal output) or Play your amplifier in "Play" mode (signal output). Footswitch: Accepts the 2 button footswitch that shipped with your amplifier. Reverb and Tremolo are turned on or off with these buttons.Pentode/Triode Switch: In Pentode Mode, your amplifier will run in full power, providing higher output. In Triode Mode, your amplifier will run at about 1/2 power. This feature further enhances the flexibility of the Handbuilt Series. With it, you essentially have two amplifiers. For classic to modern rock styles, the high power output will perform with a more aggressive overdrive. In low power, Jazz and Blues styles benefit from more reaction to your playing attack, allowing

Gibson Custom 50th Anniversary Explorer Electric Guitar ¹

Gibson Custom 50th Anniversary Explorer Electric Guitar ¹

$7999

Fifty years ago, Gibson debuted a new series of guitars — referred to in the 1958 catalog as the Modernistic series. Designed by Ted McCarty, they were far enough ahead of their time that the originals languished until a later generation of players enthusiastically adopted them. Fewer than 50 original Explorer guitars were shipped during 1958, making them among the most collectible guitars ever. This special 50th Anniversary 1958 Korina Explorer Electric Guitar, featuring a one-piece korina body and neck is limited to a run of 100 guitars.A solid korina body and stopbar bridge are the primary elements of tone and sustain for this awesome axe, which you can wield handily thanks to the Gibson Explorer Guitar's player-friendly setup. A 19th fret neck joint means you can shred all the way to the highest notes on a rosewood fretboard. A tune-o-matic bridge and mini Grover tuners keep your strings spot on in tune even when you're bending the night away. All this sound is superbly telegraphed to your amp by two ceramic magnet humbuckers.

Gibson Custom Les Paul Axcess Standard Electric Guitar with Stopbar Tailpiece Ebony

Gibson Custom Les Paul Axcess Standard Electric Guitar with Stopbar Tailpiece Ebony

$3099

The Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard electric guitar carries all the elegant styling, fluid body lines, and rocking attitude of a classic Les Paul Standard from the golden era of 1958 to '60. The Les Paul Axcess Standard reveals a handful of upgrades upon closer examination—all modifications made in the name of maximum playability and versatility. While the Axcess electric guitar sports what looks from the front to be a traditional Gibson Les Paul neck joint, the neck heel and portions of the back and neck joint at the upper cutaway have been contoured to provide a "heelless" feel and an unimpeded reach right up to the 22nd fret. No more stretching against the traditional neck heel to achieve the upper-fret access that your lead style demands—the Gibson Les Paul Axcess guitar gives you that sought-after Les Paul playability all the way up the neck, and welcomes you to take it right over the top.To further enhance playing comfort, the Gibson Les Paul guitar's smoothly carved neck joint is joined by a "belly scarf" (a.k.a. ribcage contour) that allows the body of the electric guitar to hug closely to your own body in the playing position without digging in. Add to these contours the Gibson Les Paul Axcess guitar's slightly thinner body, made from weight-relieved mahogany (with carved maple top), and you've also got a Les Paul guitar that is refreshingly light, and a pure joy to play either strapped on or seated. The Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard guitar now comes juiced with two super hot Gibson pickups, the 498T and the 496R. These forces to reckoned with pickups yield numerous tonal opportunities and can help drive your favorite amp to ultra crunch and scorching — leads in addition to providing ballsy blues tones, warm, fluid vocal tones, snappy country, and fat — sweet growls. Instead of just being able to split both pickups at the same time with one push/pull (like the original Gibson Les Paul Axcess configuration), you can now "split" each guitar pickup separately by pulling up either the rhythm or treble tone knob which allows you to blend "single coil" tones with full humbucking tones. This gives 2 more pickup settings than the original Gibson Les Paul Axcess Standard configuration thereby providing a wider array of tones. Simply pull up the treble and/or rhythm tone control knobs to "axcess" single coil tones and experiment with combining full humbucking with single coil tones, etc;hellip:Being a product of the Gibson Custom Shop, the Les Paul Axcess is an electric guitar built to the highest standards attainable, which include a final setup and fret dressing by the computer-controlled PLEK System. All Gibson Les Paul Standard necks receive precision fret dressing and setup with the Plek system. Gibson Sheryl Crow Acoustic Guitar

Gibson Sheryl Crow Acoustic Guitar

$2399

The Gibson Sheryl Crow Signature Artist Series Acoustic-Electric Guitar has a body similar to Gibson's J-45 slope-shoulder dreadnought, but with wider, square-shoulder accents on the upper bout. The radius top projects a full, balanced expression, with blended dark lows and brilliant highs. In 1999, Sheryl Crow brought her beloved 1962 Gibson Country Western to Gibson Acoustic and asked for an identical replica with modern appointments, worried that her favorite acoustic would soon succumb to the rigors of the road. Gibson responded in kind with the introduction of the new Sheryl Crow Signature Artist Series guitar—essentially a painstaking recreation of Crow's Country Western, but also a variation of Gibson's renowned Hummingbird. Nickel Gotoh White Oval Button Tuner Gibson's Sheryl Crow Signature Artist Series features Gotoh's white oval button tuners. With a gear ratio of 15:1, these Gotoh tuners deliver precision tuning in a durable housing that provides maximum protection for the gear and string post. All moving parts are cut for exact meshing, eliminating the possibility of slippage, with a special lubricant inside the gear box for smooth and accurate tuning stability. Gibson Crown Peghead Logo Gibson put the first crown peghead logo on an ES-300 back in 1940, and it has graced the headstocks of many legendary Gibson guitars ever since, including today's Sheryl Crow Signature Artist Series. Over the years, it has also been called a "thistle" because of the group of flowering plants with the sharp prickles, though Gibson has preferred to call it a "crown."Gibson Pickguard The yellow tortoise pickguard on the Sheryl Crow Signature Artist Series is patterned after the shape of the pickguard on Gibson's Hummingbird. As with all Gibson's pickguards, the coloring, inlay, binding, and engraving are done by hand. Rosette A rosette is the beautiful, hand-crafted circle around the soundhole, and can be one of the most ornamental elements of any acoustic guitar. It is also one of the most subtle and complicated woodworking decorations on any acoustic guitar. The Gibson Sheryl Crow Signature Artist Series features a double-ring rosette, with the main ring consisting of seven-ply binding, and the second ring three-ply binding, adding a stylish, understated elegance to the Sheryl Crow Signature guitar.Rosewood Fingerboard with Rolled Edges and Split Parallelogram Inlays The fingerboard of Gibson's Sheryl Crow Signature Artist Series is constructed from the highest-grade rosewood on earth, which is personally inspected and qualified by Gibson's team of skilled experts before it enters the Gibson factories. The resilience of this durable wood makes the fingerboard extremely balanced and stable, and gives each chord and note unparalleled clarity and bite. The Sheryl Crow's split parallelogram inlays are made of genuine mother of pearl, and are inserted into the fingerboard using a process

The Gibson Custom ES-359 is a semi-hollow electric guitar that adds gold hardware, Grover tuners, and an ebony fingerboard with large mother-of-pearl block inlays to one of the most exciting guitars in decades: the Gibson ES-339. The ES-359 electric guitar is part of the next generation of guitars from the Custom Shop of Gibson's iconic ES electric guitars. The Gibson ES-359 delivers bold semi-hollow tone that is rich with expressive, even stinging overtones in a guitar that has reduced dimensions and weight. The Gibson ES-359 guitar also has some exciting enhancements including Memphis Tone control wiring, the 30/60 slender neck profile, and gold hardware.Memphis Tone electronics Memphis Tone circuitry uses 500K audio taper pots that operate with an interactive load that preserves high end as you turn down the volume. The loading effect preserves the full-bodied tone with rich midrange and singing sustain from the '57 Classic humbucker pickups while adding a very sweet bite. Another difference: the Gibson ES-359 guitar's volume is very smooth, rolling off in even increments along with the numbers on the knobs. Since they operate more like how we hear (logarithmically), the controls work the way you think they should. So when you turn down the volume, the highs are still there.30/60 Neck Developed with assistance from guitar guru Jon Schwartz, the Gibson ES-359 guitar's 30/60 slender neck is a '60s style neck with an extra .030" front-to-back to preserve the semi-hollow body tone, sustain, and feel while providing smooth playability.Reduced dimensions and weight The Gibson ES-359 electric guitar builds on the success of the semi-hollowbody guitars first introduced by Gibson in 1958 with the ES-335. Lighter and more compact than a traditional semi-hollow guitar, the Gibson ES-359 guitar retains the distinct semi-hollowbody electric tone that powered so many hit records and landmark performances.Outer rim output jack The Gibson ES-359 guitar's output jack is mounted on the outer rim. No more cable crossing the body spoiling your guitar's clean looks and getting in your way.Two '57 Classic Humbuckers, with 3-way pickup selection plus individual volume and tone controls, provide the incredibly versatile sounds that make the semi-hollow electric famous for its use in jazz, rock, blues, and country. Quality Kluson tuners keep retuning time to a minimum, and gold hardware enhances the great looks. The Gibson Custom ES-359 electric guitar comes with a Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity.

Way back in 1961 the Gibson SG electric guitar replaced the under appreciated Les Paul Standard, and while the Les Paul would surface later in the decade as a rock and blues classic, the Gibson SG (originally named Les Paul/SG) was an instant hit in its own right. Its simple yet inspired ingredients of thin, all-mahogany body and neck and two Gibson humbucking pickups gave it a snappy attack with a muscular punch, and its slim, fast neck yielded unprecedented playability. The Gibson SG Angus Young guitar not only captures the look, feel, and sound of a classic SG, the Gibson electric guitar also embodies some of the rare specs and qualities of Angus Young's own '68 guitar, known to be a standout example among a classic breed. The Angus Young guitar's light, all-mahogany body yields superb resonance, while its extra slim, narrow neck provides unparalleled playability—and, topped with an upgraded ebony fingerboard with lightning-bolt inlays, it features a look that will help any rocker stand out from the crowd. Loaded with Gibson's popular '57 Classic humbucking pickup in the neck and an Angus Young humbucker in the bridge for added punch and sizzle, it packs all the firepower a gigging guitarist needs to cut it on the big stage. Each Gibson Angus Young guitar comes with a snug-fitting Gibson USA hardshell electric guitar case.
